Jonathan Wooldridge

At the Annual Awards and Christmas Party Night held at the Duke in Wanstead on Thursday 15th December 2016 Jonathan Wooldridge was voted Club Person of the Year 2016.

Voted for by the ELR Members Jonathan was a very popular choice and a clear winner of the award (The Curtis Shield)for 2016.

Jonathan joined East London Runners on 25th July 2012 and very quickly became involved in helping other members and joined our Committee in March 2015. He was appointed Vice Chair in xxx 2016.

He was instrumental this year in the following events:
- ELVIS. ELR were the host Club and Jonathan together with our Chair Frank organised the preparation meeting and the review meeting attending with the other ELVIS Club reps and organised the very successful ELVIS Awards night at the Duke, Wanstead in October 2016.
- Valentines Park Charity 5k Race - Jonathan was Assistant Race Director and put in a tremendous amount of work in the organisation and preparation before, during and after Race day including the online entry system. He was the impetus behind us using Chip Timing for the first time and raised most of the costs from Sponsorships.

In addition to all that he has done for the Club over the year he has held down a full time job, in January 2016 gained the UKA Leader in Running Fitness qualification, Jonathan ran 1342.5 miles in 2016 including 4 marathons.
